Folks.. WAP is ending its support for the II family - including our
SARA - not that there was much support from the top in the last few
years - management has changed for the worse (frankly) , but I have
continued to provide help to folks all over the world over the years
and have enjoyed my association with Jeff and this list for a long time.

I will be coming into some A3 software - some new in the box still
with shrinkwrap. I'll try to get an inventory together. If any of you
are interested in any of it, all I would ask is postage and I'll get
it out to you. I am also taking what remains of the A3 PD library.
Again, I would be happy to share for the postage IF any of you care.

If the club won't support the /// anymore, I may well ask them to
take down the /// pages that still exist. I've started downloading
everything to make sure I have a copy. I'm open to ideas about what
to do with it. They are not fancy - just some basic info. But I do
have a great deal more info in digital form as well - is it even
worth trying to do anything with this stuff or should we just let it
finally go away and be glad for it?

The other issue is that I just don't have the time to really do
justice to making a nice website. Heck, I've had a DVD compilation
disk in the works literally for years and it is still sitting there.
I should have gotten it out 10 years ago!

I appreciate your comments so don't be shy.

Hi Dave,

What will happen to all the sofware that WAP sold, such as the BOB(?) operating system, drivers, and other things that were not available for public download. Can't this be put on some Apple // software site to make it available to the public?

I think the most important thing is to make sure that all the software is available somewhere for free. If I need to download the driver for the add-on memory card, I want it to be available on the net. Surely someone would host this stuff?

I have to also state that in this regard, I frankly don't think any consideration should be given to copyright at this point. The whole purpose to copyright law is to make materials available, not to make them unavailable. IF someone wants to raise an objection to some specific thing being available, he can take the steps to have it removed. Nobody is really running a risk of being sued here.

Thank you for your dedication and commitment to this legacy. At some point in the future, people will want to look at this stuff again, so let's get it all on the web where it belongs.
